WNBA's Top 10 Leading Scorers Ranked: A'ja Wilson Continued to Lead With 25.7 PPG

As we are quickly approaching this year's WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago, now seems like the perfect time to take a look at how every top star is performing this season.

Below are the Top 10 scoring leaders in the league this season. (If two players' averages are tied, the one doing it in fewer minutes is ranked higher.)

10. Rhyne Howard - 18.9 PPG

The Atlanta Dream's lethal two-way player, Howard is having a significant fifth season with averages of 18.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game across her first 20 matchups.

While Howard was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week early on, she surprisingly got left out of the WNBA All-Star starting lineup.

9. Breanna Stewart - 20.1 PPG

There is nothing much left to speak about Breanna Stewart, who's still competing with young stars in her 10th season in the league. Stewart led the New York Liberty to another Commissioner's Cup victory.

With 20.1 points per game and seven double-doubles, Stewart was also the first player to earn multiple Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors this season.

8. Brittney Sykes - 20.1 PPG

Before suffering an injury in June against the Indiana Fever, Sykes was having an explosive season with expansion side Toronto Tempo and is still averaging 20.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.

Sykes scored a career-high 38 points twice this season, while also having three 30+ games under her belt, breaking the tie with A'ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart.

7. Paige Bueckers - 20.2 PPG

Paige Bueckers has levelled up tenfold following her breakout rookie year with the Dallas Wings last year. She is currently averaging 20.2 points, 6.0 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game.

She recently surpassed 1,000 career points and was selected as a starter for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game after leading the league in fan voting.

6. Kahleah Copper - 20.6 PPG

Copper has been the main driving force for a rather inconsistent Phoenix Mercury that reached the WNBA Finals last year. She has been averaging 20.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.

However, with a record of 8-13, the Mercury are now in playoff contention thanks to Copper's efforts, who notably set a career-high of 41 points against the Los Angeles Sparks.

5. Caitlin Clark - 21.2 PPG

Despite an inefficient start to the season after an injury-ridden sophomore year, the Indiana Fever star has picked up big time and is now averaging career-highs of 21.2 points and 8.2 assists per game.

She was named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for June and has been selected as a starter for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago, despite her peers voting her as the eleventh-best guard in the league right now.

4. Marina Mabrey - 21.2 PPG

As the first pick of the expansion side Toronto Tempo, Mabrey has more than proved herself as the core guard of the team.

She is averaging 21.2 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game and notably tied the WNBA's all-time single-game scoring record with 53 points against the Los Angeles Sparks on June 25.

3. Kelsey Mitchell - 21.6 PPG

Mitchell is showing no signs of stopping in her ninth WNBA season, as she was recently named an All-Star starter alongside teammates Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston.

As one of the highest-paid players in the league, Mitchell is also hooping like that, averaging 21.6 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 rebounds per game while shooting 49.5% from the field.

2. Kelsey Plum - 23.9 PPG

Some would argue that Plum would be on the top of the list if not for her being sidelined by a lower leg injury in June. Despite that, Plum is having a spectacular season with the Sparks, averaging career highs of 23.9 points and 6.4 assists per game.

Fortunately, there is still time for the four-time All-Star to pick up, subsequently driving the Sparks to playoff contention.

1. A'ja Wilson - 25.7 PPG

To nobody's surprise, the four-time MVP leads the pack once again this season, leading the league in scoring with 25.7 points, but also ranking among the leaders in rebounds (9.4 RPG), blocks (2.0 BPG), and steals (1.6 SPG).

Wilson was recently honored as the Western Conference Player of the Month and was obviously named in the WNBA All-Star starting lineup, making it seven in her illustrious career.

So, do you think these rankings will remain intact by the end of the regular season, or can the new stars like Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron catch up soon? Let us know in the comments.
