Basketball and fashion took on a whole new meaning ahead of Sunday's Fever vs. Aces matchup, as Indiana made its own entrance a separate highlight show before the start of the game.
As the Fever came out onto the court at T-Mobile Arena, the team looked ready for action in more ways than one, with Sophie Cunningham taking the lead on fashion statements with an outfit comprising black leather mini-shorts along with a crop top that flaunted her well-toned midriff area.
Such a response is quite logical considering all the attention Fever players attract on their road trips, particularly when you factor in that Caitlin Clark was out for her second consecutive game. It seems that Cunningham chose to dress accordingly to match her surroundings in Sin City.
However, Lexie Hull made a completely different impression through her choice of a black outfit that reflected her defensive nature on the court.
And while Hull’s outfit wasn’t a lone case, Bree Hall and Justine Pissott also opted for their elevated casual look.
The two players selected crisp cuts and matching suits that managed to combine the comfort of traveling on the road with the elegance of a Vegas arena.
To complete the squad, Indiana’s guards brought the trendy style from the streetwear world into the tunnel with their big body shapes paired with high-end sneakers.
It kept building the reputation of the Fever as being among the league’s most stylish teams.
While the pregame festivities may have garnered significant attention, the Las Vegas team struggled to establish any flow on the court once the game began.
Aces Hit Season-Low Scoring Total in Historic Defeat
Without A’ja Wilson, Las Vegas was limited to scoring 68 points, which was the least they have scored all year. Jackie Young led the offensive lineup with 15 points, followed by Jewell Loyd, who scored 12 points, while Chelsea Gray contributed 10 points and six assists.
But despite having had a slim lead at the end of the first quarter, it all became history after the third quarter when the Indiana offence came alive.
And Las Vegas simply had no answers to that and was not able to challenge the lead anymore.
The ball handling was an additional problem as the Aces had only 14 assists compared to 13 turnovers, which allowed Indiana to dictate the tempo throughout the game. The loss moved the Aces’ record to 15-6 this season.
In other news, Indiana improved their record to 12-8 and came out with great momentum, fueled by Kelsey Mitchell's 27 points and Aliyah Boston's 18 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Comment down which Fever fit you enjoyed most during Sunday's tunnel walk.
