A clip involving Paige Bueckers and Olivia Miles started spreading online. A moment that revealed how the WNBA's next generation competes.

An X user named @ShowCaseShabazz posted a clip from the 28 June Lynx-Wings game, second quarter, showing the exchange. 

Olivia Miles was seen gesturing with her hands and talking. Bueckers stood right across from her, speaking back to Miles. At that moment, the Minnesota Lynx held a 39-26 lead over the Dallas Wings. 

A referee stood right between the two players to keep things under control. The game resumed normally after the exchange without any further trouble.

Miles fouled Shepard, sparking an exchange between the two. Bueckers stepped in to defend her teammate, and the argument escalated.

The Lynx won with a final score of 85-77. Even though the exchange looked heated, the referees did not hand out any technical fouls or ejections for that specific argument. 

Because these two players share a history from their college basketball days, fans already view them as the future faces of the professional league.

This shows that people want to see these athletes challenge each other. Instead of seeing the argument as a negative event.

According to Bleacher Report, it was a chaotic week for the league, filled with technical fouls and physical games like the recent Indiana and Phoenix matchups.
