World No. 24 Emma Navarro has called out her favorite restaurant after defeating the No. 1-seeded Iga Swiatek in the Round of 16 of the 2026 Bad Homburg Open on Wednesday, June 24. She named an Indian eatery spot as the one she visits when in Bad Homburg.
Navarro beat Swiatek 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, qualifying for the quarterfinals of the tournament. After the match, Navarro was asked whether there were any spots that she liked to go to in Bad Homburg every year.
Navarro replied to this with an eccentric dining place, according to the mentioned X post by The Tennis Letter.
"Yes. We always go to Singh’s Indian Restaurant," Navarro said. "It’s right down the street. Singh, if you can hear us, shout out. Yeah, your food is great, and we always go see him over there. Thanks for hooking us up every year."
It was an upset for Swiatek, who had played just one grass-court match before Wimbledon. This may have left her vulnerable, raising questions about her readiness for the surface.
As for Navarro, she has reached the quarterfinals of the tournament for four consecutive years now.
With Navarro's second consecutive victory over World No. 3, they are now tied on head-to-head matches with 2-2. In their last meeting, Navarro won 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 at the 2025 China Open.
Having such a unique rivalry between the two, Navarro also commented on the match after claiming a hard-fought victory against the six-time Grand Slam champion.

Navarro reflected on her performance and the conditions of the match against Swiatek, elaborating on how the conditions made her rely on one of her strengths. She spoke about the same in an on-court interview, according to WTA.
"Yeah, it’s tough. It’s warm out. The ball is kind of flying. There’s not a ton of rhythm,” Navarro said in her on-court interview. “I think both of us felt that throughout the match, so it came down to a lot of serving, and I relied on my serve there at the end. And it ended up getting me through."
After winning the quarterfinals, Navarro is now set to face Romanian player Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the quarterfinals for a spot in the semifinals.
Navarro has previously qualified for the semifinals of the Bad Homburg Open in 2023 and 2024, losing them to Katerina Siniakova and Diana Shnaider, respectively. Last year, she lost the quarterfinal match to Jessica Pegula, 4-6, 6-1, 3-6.
Navarro will look to avenge her last year's quarterfinal loss and qualify in the semifinals of the tournament for the third time in her career.
