‘We Got Her Back’: Natasha Howard Defends Her Rookie’s Aggressive Trash-Talking Habits

Natasha Howard is guarding her rookie's right to talk trash after their 96-81 over the Atlanta Dream. Following a heated exchange with Atlanta, the veteran champion made it clear that Olivia Miles has the locker room's full support.

Miles started hitting the "too small" emote on Rhyne Howard after scoring a tough left-handed layup. Howard, the three-time WNBA Champion, has defended Miles in the post-game interview regarding the trash-talking.

"I love it, I love, you don’t really see a lot of rookies come in being like her." She said. "Being herself, being comfortable, being who she is."

"But she kind of gives me Lindsay Whalen back then, when Lindsay was playing." She continued. "We got her back, though." Miles reacted to this statement, saying, "That’s my girl."

As for the Minnesota Lynx, they have been in tremendous form lately, currently on a three-game winning streak, beating the Toronto Tempo last Friday, the Chicago Sky last Saturday, and the Atlanta Dream today.

Although they lost their opening game of the regular season against the Dream in a close game by just one point, with the score being 91-90, they have successfully avenged that loss against Atlanta.

Can Lynx and Natasha Howard Avenge Early Season Losses

The loss against the Dream wasn't the only one the Lynx faced this season, having lost to the Sky as well, 86-79. The Lynx have a chance to avenge this loss, too, as they will play the Sky on Friday.

The Lynx have been in tremendous form in the season, having won five of the seven games played. Both Howard and Miles have been key players for the team.

Howard has been averaging 17.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season, being the highest scorer and rebounder in the team. She is also averaging four assists per game as well.

Howard was the star player in Lynx's previous game against the Sky, scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds.

On the other hand, Miles is leading the assist chart with 5.9 assists per game, while also averaging 15 points and five rebounds per game.

Courtney Williams will also play a vital role in the game, averaging 17.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game. Also, Kayla McBride, averaging 14.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game, will be crucial in helping all these players.

Team Lynx and Howard will surely want to make it up for the grabs against the Sky in the upcoming game. It looks like they have all the tools to do so.
