'We Got Dawgs!': Paige Bueckers Praises Team Depth After Aziaha James' Strong Bench Effort

The Dallas Wings found a new gear Monday night, overwhelming the Seattle Storm in a 79-56 victory. While Paige Bueckers performed decently, the real story emerged from the bench as Aziaha James sparked a dominant team-wide performance.

James delivered a standout performance, scoring 18 points, grabbing three rebounds, and dishing out an assist in just 18 minutes of play time that she got. Bueckers had praise for her teammates.

"It's really fun to play that way, when you have so many weapons... Our defense tonight was huge." Bueckers said. "Our biggest weapon is our depth. Regardless of who's starting, regardless of who's coming off the bench, we got dawgs on this team!" Bueckers explained.

We got who're gonna step up...We feel like we have two starting fives, to have that luxury, to have that confidence." Bueckers said. "It makes you relaxed as a starter...It could be anybody's night, so to have that (depth), it's a weapon for sure."

Bueckers put stress on how the Dallas Wings have been constantly putting pressure on the opponents due to their bench players showing tenacity as well.

While we already talked about James, she hasn't been the only one making an impact for the Wings off the bench.

The Dallas Rosters Running the Show

Along with James, rookie Azzi Fudd has also been in incredible form, scoring 20-plus points against the New York Liberty and the Las Vegas Aces.

She is also the only rookie to have averaged one block and one steal per game so far this season.

Bueckers, on the other hand, is leading the points chart for the team, averaging 19.4 points, 5.1 assists, and three rebounds per game.

Along with Paige Bueckers, Jessica Shepard has been in the form of her career, averaging 13.6 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game. Shepard leads the rebound chart in the WNBA right now.

Although the Wings stood at 3-3 after losing twice to the Atlanta Dream and once to the Minnesota Lynx, three wins against the New York Liberty, the Aces, and the Storm have them second in the Western Conference standings.

The Dallas Wings currently hold a record of 6-3. They will play the Los Angeles Sparks next, who are 4-4 and coming off a loss to the Connecticut Sun.

With their momentum building, the Wings will try to make full use of their depth to extend their streak further.
