Watch: Aryna Sabalenka Debuts Custom Nike Kit and Jewelry to Kick Off 2026 Roland Garros Campaign

The 2026 Roland Garros tournament opened with a fashion statement from World No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka. She arrived wearing a unique outfit that caught immediate media attention.

The kit debuted on May 26, 2026. She arrived at the tournament in a custom Nike outfit and Material Good jewelry before her first-round match. A post on X by @Djoko_UTD captured the exact moment.

The design draws inspiration from clay ballet to highlight fluid movement on the court. Nike made this look for their Roland Garros 2026 collection. Sabalenka first teased the design on social media on May 6.

She also collaborated with Material Good, a New York brand, to create a necklace stack. The pieces contain 23 carats of diamonds and over 200 carats of garnets. The red stones match the Roland Garros clay. On May 23, she posted that she was obsessed with the set and excited to wear it.

Many believed the design was exclusive to her.

However, a near-identical Nike version appeared on Oksana Selekhmeteva during a match a few days earlier. This sparked debate about Nike's rollout strategy and the meaning of a custom kit.

She played her first-round match against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro. Sabalenka won the match with a score of 6-4, 6-2.

After the win, she even shared a lighthearted dance challenge with Novak Djokovic on the stadium stairs. These off-court events only add to her ambitions on the dirt.

Aryna Sabalenka Growing Comfort on Clay

Sabalenka holds 21 hard-court titles in her career. That includes four Grand Slam wins, with two at the Australian Open and two at the US Open. Clay was historically her least successful surface.

Her clay stats have improved over the seasons. She now holds a clay record of around 88-33, which is about a 73% win rate. She has won three clay titles and reached 8 finals.

Sabalenka entered this tournament with significant momentum. Despite her recent success, she has never won a championship title in Paris. She reached the Roland Garros final in 2025 but lost to Coco Gauff.

She entered Paris with established clay-court credibility. If she finally captures the title, this fashion debut will be remembered as the perfect start to her run.
