Watch: Angel Reese Teases Caitlin Clark During Fever-Dream Clash

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark did not need too long to connect with each other on the court, and their Saturday match-up at State Farm Arena showed exactly this in the very first six minutes of the game.

On June 20, with Indiana having an advantage of 15-13 and 6:32 remaining in the first quarter, Clark fouled out near the basket, and Reese quickly teased her with gestures and reactions right at Clark.

It was captured in video footage shared on X by SnapshotKyle, who captioned it as, "Angel Reese has some words for Caitlin Clark about her special whistle."

In the video, it is clear that Reese is frustrated with the referee's decision and that the comment is directed toward Clark, who was standing near her with the ball and making wave gestures at Reese following the decision.

This was no isolated incident. Just two days before that, Reese flopped on her assignment against Aliyah Boston from the perimeter and collided with Clark as Clark tried to make her way across the floor.

She was fouled in that instance as well, and once again went right back to taunting Clark about being a foul-drawer, which went viral on X after the cameras caught it on film.

Speaking with reporters after that June 18 win, Reese said, "We talked about valuing possessions and managing emotions. We finally got the last punch."

Her calmness on the court manifested in her statistics, which showed Reese ending with 21 points and 11 rebounds for her tenth double-double of the season.

It was in the second quarter that Atlanta got the upper hand and scored 34-20, which ended Reese’s four consecutive losses in games against Clark.

This is the end of a difficult period for Reese, but there is more to the statistical performance of both players.

Angel Reese vs Caitlin Clark and What the 2026 Stats Say About Their Rivalry

The statistics of this particular season make it very obvious why any Fever-Dream match is a match that should not be missed.

Clark averages 20.8 points, 8.2 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game in 2026, thus being one of the best playmakers in the league.

On the other hand, Reese, having switched teams to Atlanta this offseason, scores 15.1 points, grabs 12.2 rebounds, and dishes 2.9 assists.

The efficiency differential is also worth highlighting. Clark has an overall shooting accuracy of 40.7% from the field and 32.7% from three, while Reese’s field goal percentage is 42.9%, but mostly close to the basket. In defense, the slight edge belongs to Reese with 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.

One can’t forget about the career record between these two. Clark currently holds a 6-2 lead against Reese in their professional careers, although Reese had a 4-1 lead over her during college days, as reported by Marca.

The Saturday win was Reese chipping away at that professional record game by game.

Is Reese finally closing the gap on Clark, or is this rivalry still one-sided?
