Tyrese Haliburton watched Caitlin Clark’s historic performance against the Aces from the sidelines. After the blowout loss in Game 1, the Fever looked on their way out. Clark had different plans.
The Fever faced a must-win game on Tuesday night after their 85-102 loss against the Aces. Clark made sure things went in the Fever’s favor at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Haliburton was left awestruck.
“27-15-7 to keep the season alive!? Oooweeee,” Haliburton wrote on X.

It was a historic show by the Fever guard, as pointed out by Haliburton in his X post.
Clark had 14 points and 11 assists by halftime. That made her the first player in WNBA postseason history with a points-assists double-double in a single half.
Clark scored or assisted on 58 points, which ESPN reported tied for the most in a WNBA playoff game. Clark's 27 points reversed her Game 1 struggles.
Before Game 2, Haliburton, who plays for the Indiana Pacers, was confident that Indiana's famed women's team could turn things around.
"Our team is amazing," said Haliburton. "Caitlin, Kelsey, Aliyah, going down the line we have a great team with a lot of great women on it."
His confidence proved prescient as the Fever rallied behind Clark's historic effort.
While Clark made her runs, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston’s off-the-ball play was top-notch. They finished off their chances, scoring 26 and 22 points, respectively.
Clark was the Fever's top scorer in the 99-89 win and spearheaded her team to even the series.
The Fever guard pushed herself to the limit, and that led to a minor health issue.
The physical toll of historic performance
On Tuesday night, Clark was everywhere on the court, running the show against the Aces. The historic performance left her gassed, and at halftime, she was under the weather.
“To be honest, I threw up everything in my stomach at halftime. I was just out there so tired,” Clark said, per The Athletic's report. “It’s an incredible amount of throw up so sorry to anybody that was standing in the vicinity of that trash can.”
In the process of making WNBA history, Clark left it all on the court. In fact, she’s prepared to do the same in Game 3, which would decide the Fever’s season.
It’s not the first time Clark has been spotted throwing up during halftime. Back in June, during halftime of the Fever’s 83-71 victory over the Atlanta Dream, she was spotted facing the same health issue.
However, on both occasions, the minor health hiccup had no impact on the WNBA star.
