Travis Kelce drops 2-word response to Caitlin Clark's new shoe release

Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce couldn't resist weighing in on Caitlin Clark’s Nike signature shoe release. Set to release on October 1, the tight end believes every version of the shoe line is on point.

On Saturday, Clark took to social media to share numerous photos of her life outside of basketball. The multi colored versions of her shoe line, Caitlin 1, were also a part of the carousel.

“Every color!!!" wrote Kelce on Clark’s Instagram post.

Kelce's comment on Clark's post showcases how strong their friendship has become over the years.

Clark has deep roots with the Chiefs, being a lifelong fan. The Fever guard has often been at Arrowhead Stadium. That’s how their public interactions began.

Clark is closely linked to Kelce’s wife, singer Taylor Swift. As recently as January 2025, Clark was present at the Chiefs' AFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium in Swift’s suite.

Clark has also shown her support for Kelce’s team.

“WE ARE BACK!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!” Clark wrote on X, supporting her favorite NFL team.

Clark has admitted that she is no bandwagon fan. Growing up in West Des Moines, Iowa, the Fever guard always supported the Chiefs. In fact, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs is a family tradition for the 3× WNBA All-Star.

In fact, her shoeline includes a version reflecting her love for the Chiefs.

Red-and-gold colorway unites Clark and Chiefs fan bases

Nike officially announced that the Caitlin 1 will be available globally beginning October 1, with a retail price of $140. The latest colorway has united the Chiefs and Clark fan bases.

“Caitlin Clark reveals a new Nike Caitlin 1 inspired by her professional favorite football team,” Nick Kicks posted on X.

The Nike Caitlin 1 signature shoe, colored red-and-gold, is indicative of the Fever guard’s lifelong connection with the Chiefs.

The collection will include the signature sneaker along with 18 pieces of apparel, and Nike’s idea behind Clark’s anticipated shoe line is to reflect the WNBA star’s personal interests.

The red-and-gold version will certainly be a huge hit and is symbolic of Clark’s lifelong support for the Chiefs.
