Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) reacts during the second half of an WNBA basketball game against the Seattle Storm, Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Stephanie White Confirms Caitlin Clark Will Appear on 'Probable' Injury List Going Forward

Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White confirmed Caitlin Clark will appear as 'probable' on the injury list. This designation ensures compliance with league policy while allowing the team to monitor Clark's health closely.

Caitlin has been dealing with a back injury and missed a game against the Portland Fire on May 20. However, she did play the last game against the Golden State Valkyries, with the Fever winning 90-82. White elaborated on this per a video posted to x by Chloe Peterson from Indy Star Sports.

"I think the most important thing is, while we hope what happened last week doesn't happen again. Just to make sure that there’s clarity and no issues with league policy, I think that we will."

May 20 saw the Fever delay the announcement that Clark would not be playing the game against the Fire. This prompted the league to issue a formal warning against the team for its negligence.

To avoid such issues occurring in the future, the HC seems to be taking a cautious approach.

"I think you can expect to see it probable going forward."

Clark's inability to play every game is a significant setback for the franchise and its fanbase. Clark's back injury mirrors last season's absence, playing just 13 games. Fever must manage her load carefully.

Clark led the previous game against the Valkyries, scoring 22 points and making nine assists for the team. She has scored 20 points with 10 assists in a game 12 times, making it the most by any player in WNBA history.

Clark and the Fever will need to bring their A game as tonight's matchup heats up.

Caitlin Clark's Recent Form and Fever's Current Standing

The Fever is playing the Valkyries today. Indiana is on a three-game winning streak and has won four out of the six games played.

Clark is playing for today's game against the Valkyries, and the Fever are no doubt glad to have her back. Clark is averaging 23.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and nine assists per game.

On the other hand, Aliyah Boston is playing a major role, averaging 16 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game. She leads the team in rebounds and steals per game.

Apart from them, Kelsey Mitchell will be vital, currently averaging 22.3 points and 2.2 assists per game for the team.

The Valkyries are looking for revenge on the Fever after their last defeat against them, having lost just two games out of the six they have played.

The game is tense, with the first quarter ending in favor of the Valkyries 21-14.

Do you think Caitlin Clark and the Fever will be able to pull off another victory against the Valkyries tonight? Let us know in the comments.
