Before Indianapolis Colts’ Jonathan Owens began his first regular-season game, he performed a heartwarming pregame tradition with his wife, Simone Biles. The history’s most decorated gymnast made sure to show support for him.
The sweet moment unfolded ahead of the Colts' Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on 13th September. Owens, who joined Indianapolis during the offseason, walked over to his wife along the sideline in full uniform.
“handshake for good luck” wrote NFL on their Instagram post.

Biles, wearing a custom blue-and-white minidress built around Owens' new uniform, and Owens shared a handshake and kiss, as shown on NFL's Instagram post.
The 11-time Olympic medalist also had her husband’s No. 38 on her back. She complemented her dress with white, knee-high boots and a small white purse.
The Lucas Oil Stadium witnessed the PDA between the celebrated couple. Colts fans were quickly in love with her support.
However, the pregame moment wasn’t something unfamiliar. Ahead of the Colts’ preseason finale last month, the couple had performed their special “handshake."
However, the Colts would’ve wished for a better start to the regular season.
Ravens dominate in Owens' first game
While Biles headed out to Lucas Oil Stadium hoping for a good start to the season for her husband, the game was nothing but an eye-opener.
"Definitely an eye opener," Colts’ running back Jonathan Taylor said, as reported by Sports Illustrated's Andrew Moore. "Definitely a wake-up call."
A dominant show by the Ravens. The match finished 41-23. They finished with 506 total yards as the Colts struggled to deal with two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson.
Owens ended his Colts debut with just one combined tackle. The safety would’ve hoped for a better day on the field after such a heartwarming pregame moment.
