Caitlin Clark has been grouped alongside some of the most controversial figures in the sporting world by VICE TV. With no major controversies to her name, fans found the WNBA star out of place in VICE TV’s upcoming documentary series.
“Everybody Hates” profiles polarizing athletes and Clark is one of six. The series intends to ask a different question to them.
“Rather than asking whether these athletes deserve the hate they receive, ‘Everybody Hates’ asks a different question: How did they become the people millions love, millions hate, and almost everyone has an opinion about?” VICE said in its official description.

Clark’s episode is scheduled for November 10, but fans are still trying to figure out her place in the series, despite VICE's official description.
The other figures on the list are Jake Paul, Aaron Rodgers, Michael Vick, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
However, a description has been released for her episode, teasing what to expect.
"She propelled women's basketball into the mainstream, but why do people hate her? Sports influencer Rachel A. DeMita, journalist Jemele Hill, and more dive deeper on her fiery personality and the media chatter around her," read Clark's episode description.
Still, the WNBA world criticized her inclusion in the series.
Fans lash out at VICE TV over Caitlin Clark’s inclusion
Since her IOWA days, Clark has been at the center of attention. Despite no major acts of controversy, the WNBA star’s inclusion makes no sense for basketball reporter Ashley Nicole Moss.
"Putting Caitlin Clark in this group is ridiculous," Moss wrote on X.
Another fan pointed out that Clark receives a lot of hate from the media and the WNBA community. However, there’s no clear reason for that.
“Clark is hated for no reason, but she shouldn't be here. I get why they likely chose her, but still,” wrote a fan.
Clark has been involved in heated moments on the court, especially the clashes against Chicago Sky player Chennedy Carter and Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas. However, competitiveness is part of sports.

Despite the hate, there’s no doubt that Clark has one of the biggest fandoms among WNBA stars. She also received international recognition at the FIBA World Cup in Berlin.
“Nobody hates Caitlin Clark,” wrote another fan.
The series opens October 27, but fans will have to wait until November 10 to figure out what the Clark episode has in store for them.
