Rhyne Howard

Rhyne Howard gave Team USA a strong all-around performance. She scored 15 points, grabbed two rebounds, and made two assists.

Her 15 points made her the second-highest scorer for Team USA. Her work on both ends of the court helped the Americans secure a comfortable 52-point win.

Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark did not lead Team USA in scoring, but she still played a big role in the win. She finished with 10 points, three rebounds, nine assists, and two steals.

Her nine assists stood out the most. Clark led the game in assists and created many scoring chances for her teammates. Some of her passes helped Angel Reese score. Reese finished with nine points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Clark also helped Team USA play as a team. The Americans finished with 31 assists. Yahoo Sports reported that this was the most assists ever recorded in a FIBA World Cup quarterfinal game.

After the game, Reese also spoke about their growing chemistry while talking to TNT's Allie LaForce. She said they know they will play together for Team USA for a long time.

Kahleah Copper

Kahleah Copper also made an important contribution for Team USA. She scored 10 points, grabbed five rebounds, made two assists, and recorded two steals.

Copper helped the team in many areas. She scored when needed, helped with rebounds, and also made plays on defense.

Jackie Young

Jackie Young completed Team USA’s list of five players who scored in double figures. She finished with 10 points and two rebounds.

Young did not score as much as Collier or Howard, but she still helped the team. Her points added to a strong team performance in which every Team USA player scored.

Yahoo Sports also showed how well Team USA played in the game. The Americans shot 52% from three-point range. They had shot only 29% from three in the group stage.

Team USA also dominated inside the paint. The Americans scored 52 points in the paint compared to Hungary’s 16. They also scored 28 fast-break points, while Hungary had just three.

How Well Did Caitlin Clark Play?

Caitlin Clark made a big impact without scoring heavily. She had nine assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Her passing created chances for her teammates and kept Team USA’s offense moving.

With Collier and four other players scoring 10 or more points, Clark focused on playmaking and helping the team stay balanced.

That balance played a big part in the win. Team USA did not depend on just one player. Clark helped create scoring chances while her teammates finished them.

The Americans will now play the winner of Australia and Spain in the semifinals on Saturday.
