A'ja Wilson and her boyfriend made headlines without even stepping onto a basketball court. The WNBA champion traded her basketball jersey for team colors during a night out with Bam Adebayo. 

The couple was spotted on May 24, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. A SportsCenter post showed them attending Game 3 of the NHL Western Conference Final. The Golden Knights defeated the Colorado Avalanche by 5-3 to take a commanding series lead. 

Wilson is coming off a championship season with the Las Vegas Aces. Her team is once more leading the Western Conference in the 2026 regular season, with a 4-2 record. Adebayo's season with the Heat ended in the play-in tournament after a 127-126 overtime loss to the Charlotte Hornets.

Adebayo and Wilson's relationship dates back to at least 2023, with reports intensifying during the 2024 Paris Olympics, with Adebayo being spotted at her games.

The pair have been seen together in public several times, with a January 2025 dinner date in Beverly Hills. An April 2025 story for Cosmo Sports saw Wilson talking about how supportive her partner was.

"I have an amazing boyfriend who really is my safe space. He’s truly a gift.” 

The two are known for supporting each other publicly at games and championship celebrations. She also mentioned him in her South Carolina Hall of Fame speech, and he later presented her 4th WNBA MVP trophy in September 2025.

On March 20, 2026, Wilson was spotted courtside for Adebayo's historic 83-point game. 

The pair have quietly but surely made their way into the media spotlight, and fans cannot stop fawning over the basketball power couple.

Fans loved seeing two champions supporting another sport together.

There was also some light-hearted teasing about team loyalty. Adebayo plays in Miami and is a known Florida Panthers fan.

Seeing him in a Knights jersey, a fan stated, “Given Bam is a Panthers fan, this has ‘my girl made me come to this’ vibes.”
