Golf influencer Paige Spiranac's comments on Caitlin Clark following her historic 45 -point performance against the Seattle Storm just go to show how worldwide the Indiana Fever star really is.

Rather than focusing solely on the statistics, Spiranac shared her admiration for the Indiana Fever star with a heartfelt post that prompted thousands of interactions.

"I would do anything to one day play a round of golf with Caitlin Clark. She’s her,” Spiranac wrote on X.

Spiranac's wish might as well come true, as some of you know that Clark is a passionate golfer herself. She uses the sport as a mental escape and a "happy place" after a demanding basketball season.

She has also played in The ANNIKA Pro-Am at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, for consecutive years alongside top-tier professionals like Nelly Korda.

The message from Spiranac quickly gained interactions with fans, many of whom imagined what a golf outing between her and Clark would look like once the WNBA season comes to a close.

Spiranac's comments come after Clark authored another memorable chapter in her young professional career, breaking another individual record while leading the Fever to a victory.

Caitlin Clark's Career-High Showcase Against the Seattle Storm

The Gainbridge Fieldhouse crowd got its money's worth on Friday thanks to Clark, who led the Fever to a thrilling 110-107 victory against the Storm.

She finished with 45 points, 10 assists, and four steals. She shot 11-for-18 from the field and connected on six of her 10 three-point attempts, producing one of the most efficient high-scoring performances in league history.

What made this performance even more impressive was that Clark played only 29 minutes, as she was on a minutes restriction due to the back injury that sidelined her earlier in the season.

And thanks to her, she sparked the Fever's comeback midway through the fourth quarter when the Fever was trailing by eight points.

The performance also rewrote several sections of the WNBA record book, as Clark became the first player in league history to record at least 40 points and 10 assists in the same game, while also setting a franchise record for most points in a single game, surpassing Kelsey Mitchell's 38.

However, Clark's focus remains on winning, not personal records. When asked about setting the Fever's single-game scoring record, she quickly redirected the conversation toward the team's larger ambitions.

"I mean, it’s cool. I don’t really care, I know what I’m capable of, and I know what this team is capable of. And it’s my job to help us win and be the best team in the WNBA. And I don’t think we’re there yet. So it’s my responsibility to help us get there. So we’ll keep working,” Clark said.

The Fever are now 16-10 for the season with a game left against the Connecticut Sun, and then Clark is off to the All-Star Game in Chicago to face the same peers who voted her as the 11th best guard in the league.
