Two athletes, two completely different sports, and yet both Olivia Dunne and Caitlin Clark have built social media presences that most professional athletes would envy. The conversation around who leads online is worth having.
Looking at the numbers, Dunne has the advantage, especially when considering certain platforms alone. Combined, TikTok, Instagram, and X: Dunne has about 13.37 million followers, and Clark has around 5.26 million. That difference is meaningful, but each number needs its context.

Dunne is dominating the Instagram competition, with a follower count of 5.2 million, while Clark is lagging with 3.7 million. Dunne’s posts on her account are for brand collaborations and related lifestyle content, while Clark’s posts include sports highlights and endorsements.
The gap narrows on X, where Clark actually holds the advantage. Her @CaitlinClark22 account has over 601,000 followers, compared to Dunne's @livvydunne account, which has approximately 270,000.
Clark's record-breaking 2024 season, including her 35-foot logo three-pointer that broke the NCAA Division I all-time scoring record, drove significant conversation on the platform.
Things change a bit for TikTok. Here, Dunne has a more significant lead. Her @livvy account has 7.9 million followers, making TikTok by far her most successful platform. Clark's @caitlin.clark22 profile has about 957K followers, with little activity.
That said, this gap is only a part of the story. The metric that really defines their influence is the empires they have built off their follower counts.
Caitlin Clark vs. Olivia Dunne: Net Worth and Earnings Breakdown
Social media numbers translate directly into earning power, and Clark and Dunne have turned their platforms into two of the most impressive financial portfolios in women's sports today.
It is no surprise that Clark’s net worth is $20 million. Before she played an actual professional game, she made $3.1 million in deals with Nike, State Farm, Gatorade, Hy-Vee, Bose, and H&R Block.
Her Nike extension, which she signed on April 18, 2024, netted her an additional $28 million, and endorsements brought in $16 million in 2025.
Let’s just say her Indiana Fever salary tells the same story. It went from $78,066 in 2025 to $528,846 in 2026 because of the new collective bargaining agreement.
Dunne took a different path to a net worth of $10 million. She signed with WME Sports and activewear brand Vuori at the same time the NCAA opened up NIL in 2021. She did no broadcasting, no league contracts. Just social media, but at the highest level.
