"Oh this diva": Tennis Fans React as Coco Gauff Joins Tennis Channel as Executive Producer

Two-time Grand Slam champion Coco Gauff has joined Tennis Channel as an executive producer. She will be part of two upcoming projects, and fans have reacted to it as well.

The tennis star is set to debut as executive producer in two short documentaries. One of the two is based on the history of fashion in tennis, while the other depicts the legacy of the Olympic gold and bronze medalist, Zina Garrison.

"I'm excited to explore how iconic players and moments have shaped the way we see tennis and ourselves," Gauff said. "Through these films, I hope to celebrate the people and cultural forces that have helped define tennis and continue to shape its future."

By producing, Gauff can highlight themes she values, such as youth empowerment, diversity, or the evolution of women’s sports.

Tennis Channel CEO Jeff Blackburn also had a few words to say about partnering up with tennis star Gauff for these two short documentaries.

"Coco Gauff is one of the most gifted athletes of her generation, and her legacy on the court speaks for itself," Blackburn said.

"What excites us most is knowing that the same talent and vision that has made her a champion is now being channeled into storytelling. We're thrilled to be the home of her filmmaking debut."

While Blackburn seems excited to work with Gauff, fans have also reacted to this news on the official post by Tennis Channel.

Fans React As Coco Gauff Set To Debut As An Executive Producer

Fans had mixed opinions on Gauff partnering up with the Tennis Channel. They have displayed their thoughts by commenting on the post.

"Oh this diva," a fan commented, highlighting Gauff's rising aura in the tennis world. Gauff launched her company, iROC Media Group, nine months ago in 2025.

This company will produce the film alongside Religion of Sports, as per DEADLINE, which Tom Brady co-founded.

"Nice!! Looking forward to this," another fan replied. The Religion of Sports is the same company that produced the 2024 series, In the Arena: Serena Williams and Simone Biles Rising. Moreover, this means they have prior experience in tennis film production, which would be a major help for Gauff.

"So excited for this!!!" Another fan was also excited for the documentaries.

Gauff herself is excited to showcase the two films, as she calls fashion a form of "self-expression," and is also inspired by Garrison's "resilience, excellence, and impact on the game."

While some fans supported the star player, others were not so encouraged by the idea.

"Why? She’s not that good. She’s lucky Sabalenka gifted her those two majors," a fan replied.

Gauff won the 2023 US Open and the 2025 French Open, both of which she won against World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.

"Nobody f****** cares," another fan seemed adamant about not being interested in the two short documentaries, both of which will join five more titles coming this year.

These documentaries will be featured in the Tennis Story series, which already includes a part that features 20 short documentaries, called Tennis Story: The Vault.

The names or release dates of the two short documentaries have not yet been announced. But Tennis Channel cites a drop time this summer.
