The Indiana Fever lost their Round 1 playoff match to the Aces 85-102, but who's to blame? The team did all it could and even acknowledged its offensive flaws, but head coach Stephanie White still drew heavy individual criticism.
Popular WNBA creator Venom Reacts specifically spoke about her in a recent video captioned "The Most Depressing Style Of Basketball Known To Man".
"So once again, Stephanie White has no idea how to coach winning basketball," he said and explained that the players were not being utilized correctly, leading to the 15-point deficit at halftime.

"Like I always say, when Caitlin is eating, everyone is eating," Venom said, arguing that the offense should have been catered to Clark.
"Apparently, when Kelsey Mitchell's eating, nobody is eating. Once again, this is on Stephanie White. This isn't even on Kelsey Mitchell." He said, explaining that White should have switched up the momentum and corrected the team's habits.
The creator further criticized White for benching Lexi Hull soon after she scored her first three-pointer in the first quarter. Hull returned in the second quarter, but she didn't make another for the rest of the game. In fact, she spent over 22 minutes on the bench despite starting the game.
Venom Reacts' criticism only highlights what the final box scores already show. The Indiana Fever committed 17 turnovers, which helped the Las Vegas Aces earn 28 points.
ESPN host Chiney Ogwumike also discussed the issue during halftime. She explained that there wasn't "enough motion around Clark" as she tried to make a shot.
Before the game, Stephanie White claimed that the team was somewhat young when it comes to playing with a sense of urgency.
As defending champions, the Aces capitalized on the same thing, and for the Head Coach, perhaps this was a better learning moment than actually winning the game.
Stephanie White on how the Las Vegas Aces "humbled" the Fever
Losing the match by such a huge margin left a sour taste in the Indiana Fever's mouth. In the post-match press conference, Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, and coach Stephanie White looked visibly upset.
Before the game started, White explained that the team needs to play with a different level of urgency. However, she also believed that they were a bit "young" in that area.
Later, she explained that perhaps the loss can motivate the team to play with a better sense of urgency when they host game two in less than 48 hours.
"You know, certainly there's no substitute for experience," she explained to the press. "You know, some of them got it a year ago, but oftentimes, you know, you have to be humbled first, right?
"Like, I mean, that's life, right? You don't always learn from the successes. You learn from being humbled. And so I think for us, we know we felt the difference in the intensity level."
The head coach felt that the team didn't pay attention to the minute details that ultimately contributed to the loss. Now, they must win game two or face an early exit from this season.
