When it comes to Paul Skenes, Livvy Dunne is not just a silent spectator. When she appeared and cheered enthusiastically, the cameras in Toronto on Saturday night recorded the swift downturn of events.
Livvy Dunne posted an Instagram Story after the Pirates lost to the Toronto Blue Jays. In it, she shared a photo with the words, "Yk im locked in," and a lock emoji. This showed her firm dedication to supporting Skenes despite his recent difficulties pitching.

The statement carried particular weight, given Skene's recent performance decline. On Saturday at Rogers Centre, he allowed nine hits and four runs in more than five innings, with only two strikeouts.
His ERA increased from 2.62 to 3.00 because of the loss, which followed another disappointing start where he allowed five runs to the Phillies.
Livvy Dunne shared her game-watching superstitions on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," revealing she yells "Let's go, Paul" before each pitch as part of her routine. The cameras showing her spontaneous reaction during Toronto's first pitch revealed this commitment.
The incident gained widespread attention when George Springer hit a 98-mph fastball for a leadoff home run on the third pitch of the game, and Dunne's excited reaction turned to obvious annoyance, all captured on film.
Pirates supporters, sharing the same disappointment over the 5-2 defeat against the Blue Jays, connected with this unvarnished response.
That kind of sideline passion makes a lot more sense when you understand just how far back Dunne and Skenes' story actually goes.
How Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes First Met and What Followed
Their story did not start with fame or fanfare. It started with mutual friends, a college campus, and a girl noticing a tall, mysterious guy she did not even recognize yet.
Livvy Dunne first spotted Skenes walking around LSU without his now-famous mustache. She had no idea who he was. Then she saw him in the dugout during a baseball game, thought he was cute, and followed him on social media.
Skenes took his time following back. When he finally did, their first date was nothing extravagant. Just ice cream. Casual, simple, and low-key.
The public caught on in June 2023 when Dunne showed up to the College World Series wearing his jersey. Skenes made it official himself in an August 2023 interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
From that point, Dunne has not missed a beat. She was there for the MLB Draft, his Pirates debut, his Rookie of the Year award, his Cy Young win, and the All-Star red carpet. Every single milestone, she was present.
Comment down, what do you think about Livvy showing up for Paul every single time?
