A’ja Wilson became an important part of WNBA history after being named the fifth MVP of her career in 2026. She became the first player in the history of this league to win three consecutive MVP awards, receiving 65 out of 74 first-place votes.
In just nine seasons in her career, she joins the likes of Michael Jordan and Bill Russell as a five-time MVP. Here’s a complete list of all her accolades.
A’ja Wilson’s Complete Resume After a Record Fifth MVP
5x MVP: In 2026, Wilson won her fifth MVP award in the league, beating out Olivia Miles, Kelsey Mitchell, Caitlin Clark, and Breanna Stewart with 65 votes out of 74 first-place votes from the voters.
The tally of 65 ballots ties her with Jordan and Russell at the level of five-time winners. In addition, no one in the history of the league had won MVP three years in a row.
3x DPOY: The Defensive Player of the Year awards came her way in 2022, 2023, and 2025, and in those three years, she has been the leader of the league in blocks per game.
Rim protection isn’t all there is to it. Wilson can switch to the perimeter, get back into the paint, and get rebounds, preventing second-chance points.
3x Scoring Leader: From 2024 to 2026, she was the highest scorer in the league, and this season’s 26.2 points per game average is second all-time in WNBA history behind her 26.9.
She is the only woman, alongside Diana Taurasi and Cynthia Cooper, who led the league in scoring for three straight years. This is also the first time that a player has averaged 25 points, shot 50 percent from the field, and 40 percent from beyond the arc.
6x Block Leader: In 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026, she led the league in blocked shots, making the art of blocking shots an indispensable part of her repertoire.
She won six block championships, which is the highest in league history, surpassing the five championships won by Margo Dydek. She has also won five consecutive block championships from 2022 to 2026.
3x Champion: The Aces clinched their victories in the years 2022, 2023, and 2025, with Wilson as a key player, defeating the Connecticut Sun 4-0 in their series to start their winning streak.
She was crowned Finals MVP in 2023 and in 2025 once more, during which Vegas defeated Phoenix in a sweep, becoming the first player to score 300 points in one playoff series.
7x All-WNBA: With seven All-WNBA selections, featuring Second Team recognition in 2019 and 2021, she laid the foundation for the exceptional seasons that came afterwards.
Her five First Team selections in 2020, 2022, 2024, 2025, and 2026 correspond with her five MVP awards, establishing her as the central figure in all that the Aces accomplish.
6x All-Defense: Wilson has been part of the All-Defensive Team six times, with five consecutive First Team selections between 2022 and 2026 and one Second Team selection in 2020.
Playing defense against all positions, Wilson uses her physicality in combination with quick feet, hence the reason for her three Defensive Player awards and six block awards.
8x All-Star: Players, fans, and the media have selected her as an All-Star starter seven times since her 2018 draft.
Wilson is often seen leading her team on the court, and in the 2026 All-Star game held in Chicago, she scored 38 points, showing the reason she keeps appearing in the midseason games.
At 30 years old, A’ja Wilson already has five MVP awards and three championships under her belt. With the Aces fighting for another championship, she adds to her legacy of being one of the greatest in basketball history.
