Kelsey Mitchell has added another historic line to an already remarkable 2026 season. The Indiana Fever guard is now the WNBA's single-season scoring leader after surpassing the previous record held by A'ja Wilson.
Mitchell reached the milestone during the Fever's game against the Toronto Tempo, pushing her season total past 1,022 points.
“The new WNBA single-season scoring champ with 1,022 points and counting, Kelsey Mitchell now owns the most points scored in a single season in league history,” the Instagram caption read.

Wilson had set the prior mark with 1,021 points back in 2024. The achievement puts Mitchell alone atop the league's single-season scoring list and adds real weight to her spot in the MVP conversation.
