Angel Reese continues to raise the bar for herself even as she rewrites the WNBA record books.

After powering the Atlanta Dream to a dominant 106-81 win over her former team, the Chicago Sky, on Saturday night, Reese made clear she's far from content with where things stand. 

"I'm not satisfied. This is just the beginning. This is the start. This is year three for me,” she said in an X post by Underdog WNBA. “I want to be in the league for a good amount of time. I want to win championships," she said postgame.

The comments, as per the X post by Underdog WNBA, came on a night when Reese delivered another signature performance and dug her name even deeper into the record books. She finished with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three blocks in just 28 minutes. 

The double-double was her 31st of the season, extending her own single-season record. Even more notably, she became the first player in WNBA history to reach 500 rebounds in a single season, entering the night with 495 and hitting the milestone in the first half.

Atlanta controlled the game from the start and pulled away in the second half, improving to 28-14 with their third straight win and ninth in their last eleven, strengthening their push for playoff seeding and home-court advantage in the first round. 

For Reese, nights like this have become the norm this year. She leads the league in rebounding at 12.4 per game, ranks among the top steals producers, and has established herself as one of the league's most impactful two-way forwards during her first season in Atlanta. 

She now owns the single-season rebounding record, the single-game rebounding record with 26, and the 500-rebound mark that no other player has ever reached.

Angel Reese isn't approaching the 2026 WNBA playoffs with any hesitation.

After Atlanta's dominant 103-59 win over Connecticut, the star forward made her expectations clear. 

"I believe we're going to go all the way," Reese said, as per Marca. "Obviously, it's gonna be a lot of chatter on the outside, but as long as we continue to focus on what's in our locker room, that's all that matters."

Despite not being happy with her own performance, Reese is confident in the Atlanta Dream’s title run.

Atlanta has already clinched a playoff spot and remains in contention for a top-four seed and first-round home-court advantage, sitting at 28-14 with nine wins in their last eleven games. Reese herself returned from the FIBA World Cup in dominant form, exploding for 30 points and 10 rebounds in just 25 minutes in her first game back.
