After three years of dating, former Miami Hurricanes guard Haley Cavinder and Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson took the biggest step in their relationship on 20 June, 2026.

The couple chose the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables as their dream venue, a location that held a special significance for Cavinder following her standout college hoops career at the University of Miami.

The hotel is also a National Historic Landmark known for having been converted into the Army Air Forces Regional Hospital during World War II.

Cavinder made the big announcement on her social media account. She posted a series of pictures from the couple's big day with a caption, "Mr & Mrs."

According to GQ, it was Cavinder’s idea to get married at the Biltmore Hotel. While searching for the perfect location for their wedding, she made her decision on her first visit. “I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, this works! Let’s get married here,” she told GQ.

After dating for two years, the couple got engaged in April 2025 in Florida.

While the couple got their dream wedding, Haley said that she was not too intense about planning. The basketball-turned social media influencer was just happy with the prospect of spending her life with the NFL star.

The NFL star revealed that the first time he talked to Haley was on social media. He said that they started talking after Cavinder liked his pictures on social media.

“This is where the debate happens,” Ferguson told GQ. “She liked a couple of my pictures, the typical social media thing, and then I slid into her DMs.”

From chatting through DMs and eventually talking on the phone, Ferguson finally asked her to meet when he was visiting his parents.

“She was living down in Miami at the time, and my parents live in Fort Myers Beach,” he said. “We had talked on the phone a little bit, and I was like, ‘Hey, I’m going to be down in Florida. Would you like to grab dinner and do something?”

According to the Cowboys star, the attraction between them was immediate. They ended up hanging out for 10 days straight. 

“It was pretty immediate for me. I was like, yeah, I want to marry her.”

Years later, here they are, as Mr. & Mrs Ferguson.
