"Going to get hers no matter what!": Shannon Sharpe Reacts to Angel Reese’s Big Game Against Fever

A stunning performance from Atlanta Dream star forward Angel Reese led the Dream to beat the Indiana Fever 108-101 at Indiana's home. NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe was quick to spotlight Reese’s dominance.

The star forward finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds, marking her 10th double-double of the season. After the game, Sharpe went on to praise Reese on his Nightcap podcast and also wrote about it in a tweet.

"Angel Reese DOMINATES as the Dream cool off Caitlin Clark and the Fever," Sharpe wrote in a tweet posted about the game. "Angel Reese is going to get hers no matter what."

Sharpe elaborated further, calling Reese “a monster” on the glass and the kind of player who can anchor a championship team.

"She's going to dominate the glass," he said.

“She’s going to dominate the glass. She is a hustle-hustle player. Does she have the prettiest shot? No. But she’s the type of person you can win a championship with because she’s going to give you so many opportunities on the offensive end."

Sharpe's comments have context as Reese is averaging 14.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game this season.

She is only the third player to have a double-double average this season, alongside the Dallas Wings' Jessica Shepard and the Connecticut Sun's Aneesah Morrow

Angle Reese Responds After the Win

Reese herself kept the focus on her team’s resilience and composure in front of the Fever’s raucous crowd.

"We kind of talked a little bit at halftime about not getting comfortable," Reese said.

"I think we kind of stayed together and continued to push. We knew they were going to go on a run, especially with their crowd. When their crowd gets into it, I think they feel that energy, and they did a great job with that."

With Reese's help, the Dream now holds a 10-4 record. They are currently in second position in the Eastern Conference standings and will play another game against the Fever on June 19.
