As if Paige Bueckers' week couldn't get any more thrilling, she capped it off by heading to the Dallas Stadium in Arlington to witness a heavyweight World Cup semifinal clash between Spain and France with her brother Drew.

With the match happening in Dallas, there was no reason not to, as Bueckers also attended one of the very first matches of the tournament between the Netherlands and Japan.

The Wings star must have received some inspiration from young stars like Lamine Yamal and Pedri, as Spain dominantly beat France 2-0 to book their tickets to MetLife Stadium in New York.

Not like she needed any, as Bueckers has been having quite a productive season in her sophomore year at Dallas.

Bueckers has been the center of the Wings' four-game unbeaten streak away from home this week, in and around the Northeast, before erasing a late deficit against Chicago.

The UConn legend's week started against the New York Liberty, with the Huskies' head coach, Geno Auriemma, in the broadcast booth. The Wings won the game 88-77.

The 2025 No. 1 overall pick averaged 23.6 points per game last week while providing a helping hand with over seven assists and grabbing six rebounds, while the Wings posted a 3-0 record during this period.

And for the first time in her career, Bueckers was deservedly named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week for her game-changing efforts. She was honored alongside Indiana Fever star Kelsey Mitchell, who took this mantle in the Eastern Conference.

Bueckers and the Wings find themselves in an interesting spot this year as compared to last, and they would need all the momentum possible as they are on the verge of qualifying for the knockouts.

And maybe watching Spain and France go at each other was just the inspiration she needed to start preparing for her and the Wings' own eventual postseason, as fans were excited to see Bueckers taking an interest in the beautiful game.

Drew has become a public fixture alongside his sister's major career milestones. He gained significant attention when he recorded a heartfelt The Players' Tribune tribute video that aired before the NCAA national championship.

"The GOAT watching the GOAT" a fan commented, already giving Bueckers the 'greatest of all time' tag. However, they did not specifically mention who they are calling the goat in football. With talents such as Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal on the field, they might be the closest to that tag in this generation.

"Giving baby bro a once-in-a-lifetime experience. That’s so cute and sweet." A fan commented on the beautiful relationship between Bueckers and her half-brother.
