Fans see Olivia Miles snap at refs after getting the Caitlin Clark treatment

Lynx guard Olivia Miles couldn’t stand the Liberty defense's pushing and shoving. After the Lynx's third straight loss, the fans argued that the No. 2 pick got a slight glimpse of what WNBA star Caitlin Clark faces daily and couldn't deal with it.

Miles questioned the consistency in refereeing. The Lynx's third straight loss hung over Miles as she navigated the Liberty's relentless physicality.

“I mean, it’s frustrating at times when you feel like you're getting hounded everywhere and pushed off your spots and thrown on the ground and stuff,” Miles said. “But ultimately we can’t rely on the refs to win us the game."

Her measured response contrasted sharply with fans' view that she was finally experiencing what Clark endures nightly.

According to HITC's Luke Randall, Miles posted 20 points and 8 rebounds but committed 5 turnovers.

Sinking 10-of-12 free throws, Miles needs to step up to the occasion, just like Clark, as the playoffs approach.

Fans revealed that Clark has been getting the same physical treatment for years.

Fans think Olivia Miles is getting nothing compared to Clark

Fans pointed out that Caitlin Clark has been subject to defensive intensity since making her WNBA debut in 2024.

“Welcome to Caitlin's world since 2024!!!!” wrote an X user on BrickCenter's X post.

As playoffs approach, teams have tightened their defense on Miles, a physicality she hadn't faced until now. Clark has had it worse, according to the fans.

“Oh, you just found out now? You've had it pretty easy then compared to Clark since the start of her rookie year!” wrote another user.

Another fan pointed out that frustrating Miles in this manner could be a good strategy to get the better of Lynx.

“Thats going to be the way to beat the Lynx. Frustrate Miles and guard her tough," commented an X user.

As Miles appeared visibly disappointed by the Liberty's approach, fans pointed out that the rookie has a long way to go to match Clark.

“She couldn’t handle the Caitlin Clark treatment from the players and refs,” wrote an X user.

Fans also believed that the refereeing was justified as the Lynx were awarded 12 free throws.

“I’m sorry, 12 free throws and she is complaining? Welcome to the WNBA. It only took them 41 games to treat you alike they have others like CC,” wrote another X user.

Clark has time and again publicly acknowledged hard defense. However, Miles’ comments have drawn heavy scrutiny.
