Fans can’t get enough of Paige Bueckers’ reaction to Diamond Miller

The Dallas Wings recorded a blowout 83-63 win over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday, August 2. However, it was the hilarious interaction between Paige Bueckers and Diamond Miller that became the talking point among WNBA fans.

The Wings took a massive 31-point lead with over five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The viral interaction happened with 4:55 remaining on the game clock.

As Miller was sprinting back for her defensive position, she looked at her former team's bench and appeared to blow a kiss towards them.

According to an Instagram video released by Bleacher Report, Bueckers, who was sitting beside Azzi Fudd and Arike Ogunbowale, was so amused that she rolled over with laughter.

Miller made a 3-pointer in front of the Wings bench and cut the lead to 28 points.

The Wings eventually turned the game around with a 20-2 run in the third quarter, eventually winning against the Sun.

What Miller said remains unclear, but Bueckers' reaction spoke volumes. Unsurprisingly, fans on Instagram immediately took to the post's comments section to express their own opinions on the interaction.

"I want to know": Fans react to viral Diamond Miller and Paige Bueckers interaction

While fans couldn't verify what Miller told Bueckers, Bueckers' reaction captured their heart.

"See never any aggression towards Paige...everyone loves her and her personality."

Bueckers is one of the fiercest competitors on the basketball court. But off the court, she is one of the goofiest players in the league.

While the internet kept guessing the content of the interaction between former teammates, a fan wanted to know what exactly they spoke about.

"I want to know what Diamond said for Paige to laugh like that," the fan wrote.

A fan guessed that Miller was trash-talking to her teammates after the 3-point shot.

"If I was guessing, it was her talking trash; they seem to do that when they're getting destroyed," the fan wrote.

The 20-point win was the Wings' biggest win of the season. But Connecticut has suffered worse losses this season, including a 31-point defeat to the New York Liberty in their first game.

"Miller pointed at Arike [Ogunbowale] after her three; that’s why they were laughing," another fan guessed.

But the messing around and trash-talking with her former teammates while she had time on the court seemed to be in good faith, with no love lost. WNBA players share deeper relationships, and it wasn't a rare sight.

Bueckers and Miller were teammates on the USA's gold medal-winning team at the 2019 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup. They share plenty of history.
