Angel Reese earned the tag "Bayou Barbie" due to her time in Louisiana alongside her glamorous playstyle. Well, that tag just got real.
Reese joins a list of star athletes who have their very own Barbie doll, as the Atlanta Dream star announced on her social media ahead of the All-Star weekend.
“It’s honestly a dream come true for me,” Reese shares in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.
"Barbie is an iconic brand, and to be part of that legacy is something I’m really proud of. It’s bigger than basketball for me. It’s about inspiring young girls to dream big, be confident, and know they can be exactly who they are.”

Reese continued about how special it is to see every small detail come to life, and that she “couldn’t stop smiling” when she saw her Barbie for the first time.
Mattel definitely captured Reese to perfection, as she was shocked by how much detail the doll had. From her jersey (featuring both No. 5, for the Dream, and No. 10, for the Chicago Sky and LSU), leggings, headband, and her Barbie pink Reeboks.
Reese revealed that she has always been a Barbie girl growing up and got inspired by how it can be anything it wants to be. The Dream star hopes to have the same impact when a little girl picks up her doll.
“I hope every little girl who picks up my doll sees someone who embraces every part of who she is, and is inspired to do the same,” she says.
As the All-Star weekend commences, Reese must be inspired by her Barbie doll as she pops out with an eye-catching look ready to turn heads.
Angel Reese Returns to Chicago in Fashion
Angel Reese did not need to step onto the court to command the spotlight during WNBA All-Star Weekend.
Reese is naturally on a Barbie high and fully embraced that with her latest outfit on Friday night as the All-Star weekend commenced.
“A Barbie is in the house,” the WNBA wrote on social media.
As she returns to Chi City as an All-Star, Reese will suit up for Team Coop in Saturday’s WNBA All-Star Game.
This is already the 24-year-old's third All-Star selection after averaging 15.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game during her first season with Atlanta.
While she was not selected as a starter, Reese joins fellow teammates Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray as a reserve in the league's showcase event.
So, do you think Angel Reese will make an impact both on and off the court this weekend? Let us know in the comments.
