Paige Bueckers led the Dallas Wings to an 89-76 win over the Toronto Tempo on Sunday, and it was only right to have been witnessed by two-time NBA MVP and Canadian basketball hero Shai Gilgeous-Alexander courtside.

Before Bueckers headed to the tunnel exit after the game, she shared a moment with the Oklahoma City Thunder star guard, sparking strong reactions from the WNBA world.

Bueckers scored 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting, with 7 assists and 3 rebounds, as she received SGA's endorsement while exchanging pleasantries after dominating the Tempo.

“Way to hoop. Love your game. Keep going, for sure,” Gilgeous-Alexander said to Bueckers. “Big fan, appreciate you,” Bueckers responded.

It must have been a wild moment for Bueckers to receive appreciation from the OKC star, whose game she has admired for a while.

In the last Western Conference Finals between the Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs, Bueckers spoke about watching the series and focused on Gilgeous-Alexander’s quality, saying how she "takes a lot" from the point guard's game, according to Myah Taylor.

“I mean, I take a lot from Shai’s games, just being able to get your spot consistently, and Steph [Stephon Castle], he’s my guy, so he’s done a good job defensively, but they’re really guarding him with five. I just really enjoy watching basketball, just sort of see the level of competition." Bueckers said.

After the win against the Tempo, Bueckers is now one of the top-scoring leaders of the league with an average of 20.2 points per game, and recently received WNBA All-Star starter honors for the second time in her career.

With two of the very best point guards basketball has to offer linking up, fans on social media obviously had some thoughts on the duo.

Shai definitely does not have the best connection with fans, who think that despite the elite quality he possesses on the ball, he tries to bait his opponents into getting a foul.

"Don’t give her the foul baiting phobia!" A user commented with laughing emojis, clowning the two-time MVP for not advising Bueckers to foul-bait more.

"Paige literally said a couple of months ago that she studies and models parts of her game after Shai. Seeing them link up after her game in Toronto is a major full-circle moment."
