The Las Vegas Aces have already lost game two, yet the backlash against A'ja Wilson has not stopped after her altercation with a fan in the fourth quarter. After the moment went viral, former sports columnist Jason Whitlock expressed his views.

"What A’ja Wilson did yesterday is a disgrace to sports," read the caption of a video Whitlock posted on X, where he discussed the incident involving Wilson and the Indiana Fever fan.

"We are bending over backwards to empower A'ja Wilson," he said in the video, while reviewing footage from playoff game two that went down in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

"And this group of people that are staring down and yelling at a single fan who stood up and said, 'Hey, that foul's on you'." Whitlock concluded in his post.

Whitlock isn't alone in criticizing Wilson. The moment with the fan became a peculiar focal point after the Aces lost to the Fever 89-99.

The clips went viral and had many fans and experts commenting on the situation. It all happened during the 4th quarter with 4:10 left on the clock.

Wilson seemingly collided with the Fever's guard Sophie Cunningham, causing the latter to tumble to the floor. As the situation unfolded, Wilson discovered a fan pointing at her from the stands.

She was then seen walking towards the fan, removing her mouthpiece, and speaking to him. The rest of the Aces quickly came to her defense and pulled Wilson back from engaging with the fan.

Ultimately, Cunningham was given a personal foul for the collision. However, Wilson received a technical foul for her confrontation with the fan.

Interestingly, many fouls occurred throughout what was one of the most physical games in the 2026 playoffs so far. In fact, Wilson's collision with Cunningham would only be the first of two in the same quarter.

After the confrontation with the fan, both teams went back to the floor, and with Cunningham's personal foul, Wilson made two free throws, taking the team to 81.

It was still a steep hill to climb for the Aces. With 1:17 left on the clock, Wilson and Cunningham became tangled once again. This time, the Fever guard was sent hurling to the floor as Wilson tried to open up space.

As a result, the Vegas center received a personal foul. Cunningham received two free throws and widened the gap to 96-87.

Afterwards, Chelsea Gray would record two personal fouls, allowing Kelsey Mitchell to take the team to 99 and win the game.

The Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces are now 1-1. The deciding match is scheduled for October 1, 2026. The winner advances; the loser is eliminated and must wait until next season.
