Basketball never really stops in Indiana, even during the off weeks. That much became clear on Friday night when two familiar faces showed up courtside for a game that had nothing to do with their own season.
Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston were spotted at the Thomas and Mack Center, taking in the Indiana Pacers' Summer League opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to the NBA. The Pacers won 99-93.
The third quarter of the game was crucial for the game; Indiana converted 43 percent of its shots and scored 32 to 15 points more than Cleveland in the same period.

The double-double by Rienk Mast consisted of 16 points and 11 rebounds, whereas Jalen Slawson scored 15 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, made 5 assists, and 5 blocks.
The teamwork between the two organizations has been going on forever. Both Clark and Boston were present in the game of Indiana in the 2025 NBA Finals series, and now the Fever, which has a 13-9 record and won 6 out of 10 games, will play against the Las Vegas Aces.
The occasion did not go without notice on social media, as fans flooded their timelines with comments about seeing the WNBA stars of Indiana showing their support for the NBA players.
Fans Reacted to Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston Courtside
"CC being supportive!! Love it," said a fan. The response is indicative of how Clark has always shown her support for the Pacers, which started during their run to the NBA Finals in 2025.
Another tweet reads, "The future of the WNBA is in the building." This is especially relevant for Clark, as she has managed to score an average of 20.5 points and 7.9 assists per game, even though she suffers from back pain and has only played in 18 games.
"AB is underrated," is what one fan tweeted. This is particularly true, as Boston has been contributing 17.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game in 20 games this season.
A user commented, "I thought she was injured." The confusion likely stems from Clark being recently rested during a back-to-back game due to a back problem.
"We love our Fever girls," was another reaction. This response corresponds with how well Indiana is doing since the team is 13-9 with six wins out of their last ten before the All-Star break.
These responses are an indication of how closely fans follow the two teams and consider their success as one story.
