Indiana Fever currently holds a 6-5 record and has struggled to be consistently in decent form. But in one of the games against the Golden State Valkyries on May 28, which they lost 90-88, Aliyah Boston once again pointed out the officiating, while giving one more example.
In the latest episode of the Post Moves podcast with three-time WNBA champion Candace Parker and actress Leslie Jones, Boston reminisced about her moment with Valkyries' No. 3, Laeticia Amihere. But that wasn't it, she also told the one time she fouled out of a game.
"Can I get fined through a podcast?" Boston asked. "Dude, I fouled out of the LA game, and I'm not gonna like make too much of a statement, but one person called for them. That's all I'm saying; that's so silly."

While reviewing the Amihere incident, which was called an offensive foul and the Fever successfully challenged and overturned it, she talked about the game against the LA Sparks on May 15. Boston was fouled out in just 23 minutes of the game.
Earlier on the Valkyries game incident, she also stated that she was not able to get into the flow to play. She also took a shot at the officiating.
"I wasn’t able to get into a flow. It’s super hard to figure out how the refs are going to be calling it." Boston said. "It’s hard to get charge fouls when they’re not in a legal position. Shout to the Valks for selling it, and the refs bought it, to be honest."
While Boston hasn't been very fond of the league's officiating, she has consistently helped her team in any way possible.
Aliyah Boston Continues To Perform Amid Strict Refereeing
Even though Boston might not like the way Indiana's games are being officiated, the 2023 Rookie of the Year has been crucial for the Fever.
In the recent game against the Washington Mystics, the three-time All-Star helped the team win 78-76 by scoring 14 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, dishing out three assists, and recording two steals.
Furthermore, Boston has been averaging 15.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. Recently, Boston also commented on what should be the team's focus for their next game.
"I know it's early on, but we've got to get a little tougher." She said. "I think for us, just keeping the main thing the main thing, and that's focused on taking care of each possession, offensively and defensively."
The Fever are playing the Chicago Sky next on Thursday, June 11. The Sky are currently on a two-game losing streak and hold a 4-8 record. This indicates that if the Fever do as Boston says, they can triumph over Chicago.
