The Indiana Fever's point guard, Caitlin Clark, has been generating headlines throughout the WNBA season that have nothing to do with her scoring records, and Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, says that Caitlin Clark has reached her limit and is contemplating taking a drastic step.
Portnoy commented after Clark was awarded his eighth technical foul this season in the game against the Chicago Sky on Saturday and advised her on social media to start her own league.
"Hey @CaitlinClark22, just go start your own league already. Sick league @CathyEngelbert," posted Portnoy on social media after Indiana’s victory over the Chicago Sky.

The comment was made in frustration over recurring officiating controversies, not a serious proposal.
This was a result of a disorderly third-quarter play, where Clark accidentally touched the referee, Genesis Perrymond, during her forced out-of-bounds after Natasha Cloud’s defensive action from the Sky. This resulted in an automatic technical that would have led to a one-game suspension.
Clark discussed the situation right after the match, being confident that his foul would be overturned soon.
"She said I ran into her. I've already watched it on the tape, so we'll let the league decide. It wasn't intentional or anything," Clark said.
This proved to be correct as the technical foul was taken back within just a few hours of the game itself, allowing Clark to play on Tuesday against the New York Liberty team.
Portnoy is not the first famous individual to make an observation about Clark and possibly leave the league, and this adds further background to explain why he was frustrated this time around.
Boomer Esiason Made a Similar Suggestion About Caitlin Clark Earlier This Season
Former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason raised the same idea back in June, following a physical incident between Clark and Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas.
"She's been getting run over, steamrolled, shoved down, this one to the neck. If I were Caitlin Clark, I would seriously consider going to play overseas somewhere and get the royal treatment and get real money," Boomer said.
That comment came during a season already filled with physical incidents and controversy surrounding Clark and the Fever, adding weight to Portnoy's more recent frustration.
Clark finished Saturday's win with 26 points, 11 assists and 5 made three-pointers, continuing to produce at an elite level despite the ongoing controversy surrounding nearly every Fever game this season.
Comment down whether you think Caitlin Clark should consider starting her own league.
