Caitlin Clark’s historic 10-game stretch puts her in a league of her own

Caitlin Clark has turned the final stretch of the 2026 WNBA regular season into another record-setting chapter of her young career. The Indiana Fever guard is putting up numbers that have never been matched across a comparable stretch.

Clark’s latest statement came in Indiana’s 95-91 overtime victory over the Atlanta Dream. She finished with 26 points and nine assists, helping the Fever secure another important win while extending a remarkable run of individual production.

The performance made Clark the only player in WNBA history to average at least 26 points and nine assists over a 10-game span.

That puts her recent production in a category of its own, with no previous player reaching the same scoring and playmaking combination across 10 consecutive games.

Over 11 games, Clark averages 26.3 points, 9.4 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. HITC reported that Clark is averaging 26.3 points, 9.4 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals during that span. She has maintained that level despite defenses consistently applying pressure to the Fever guard.

Clark’s latest run is also adding to an already historic 2026 season. She is averaging around 22 points and 8.3 assists per game, while ranking among the WNBA’s top three scorers and leading the league in assists. Her production has helped Indiana remain firmly in the playoff picture with the postseason approaching.

Her Atlanta performance also moved her further up another historic leaderboard. The 26-point outing gave Clark her 23rd career game with at least 25 points and five assists, moving her past Kelsey Plum and Breanna Stewart and into fifth place in WNBA history.

Caitlin Clark is rewriting records beyond her historic 10-game stretch

Clark’s 10-game scoring and assists run is only one part of the record-breaking season she is putting together. Earlier in August, she reached 700 career assists in just 83 games, becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to reach the milestone.

No NBA player reached 700 assists in 83 games over the previous 30 years, per the Indiana Fever announcement.

Clark also recorded her 20th career game with at least 20 points and 10 assists during Indiana’s win over Dallas.

That performance came with 29 points and 10 assists, while Clark shot 11-of-18 from the field. She also became the first WNBA point guard to record seven games with more than 25 points in a season, according to the reported milestone.

Clark has even started matching records she previously set herself. Dear Old Gold reported that she tied her 2024 mark as the fastest player to reach 500 points and 250 assists in a season, doing so in 45 games.
