Caitlin Clark heard something unexpected inside Toronto's Coca-Cola Coliseum. As she pulled off another record-breaking performance, Clark kept her ears wide open.
After the Indiana Fever beat the Toronto Tempo 103-85, Clark joked about hearing birds chirping inside the arena. In fact, she hilariously complimented the home team.
"I think this is the first time I've played in an arena that has birds chirping, so congrats, Toronto, on that,” Clark said. “Um, hopefully we get to play at Scotiabank the rest of the way. But the fans were amazing."

Clark has always been vocal about the conditions in Toronto. Earlier this season, she joked that it was "a million degrees in here" during a game against the Tempo.
While the arena's quirks drew attention, Clark's performance dominated the game. Clark finished with 28 points, 14 assists, and six rebounds to seal the match.
Clark also made sure to show her appreciation towards the Canadian crowd.
"Like, it's been cool even when I watch them on TV," Clark added, as seen on theScore's X post. "Like, every single night it seems like this place is packed, and the way Canada has just really rallied around this team and supported them."
Her respect for the Canadian fanbase underscored the mutual admiration between star and supporters.
The home crowd had very little to cheer for in the end as Indiana secured its eighth win in 10 games.
With three regular-season games remaining ahead of the playoffs, the Fever now sit at 27-14, still fifth in the standings.
Clark also broke a WNBA record.
Clark breaks WNBA Record with historic performance
After a historic World Cup campaign in Berlin, Clark returned strongly to the WNBA on Friday.
With 28 points, 14 assists, and six rebounds against Tempo, Clark marked her 10th game this season with at least 25 points and a season-high 10 assists.
Clark cemented her legacy with this performance, as no player has recorded more across their entire WNBA career, per HITC's Aryan Chadha.
Kelsey Mitchell also set a WNBA season scoring record with 33 points. Overall, it was a dominant show for Indiana.
