With a great fanbase comes great responsibility, and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark knows how to fulfill hers. It was out in the open before the Fever-Lynx game on Saturday, Aug. 1.
Before the Fever-Lynx game, Clark entered the Target Center arena flooded with Fever fans waiting for the Fever star to sign their jerseys.
A video posted by the Indiana Fever on Instagram showed Clark going around and signing merchandise. A fan even brought the December 2024 issue of Time magazine featuring Clark.

As per Indiana Fever's Instagram post, Caitlin Clark autographed dozens of items before going for her pregame practice.
Clark's autograph sessions now draw crowds that rival NBA stars. Whether it is a home game or a road game, signing autographs has become her routine.
According to ESPN, last season during a game against the New York Liberty in New York, Clark signed approximately 108 autographs. Again, that was the crowd during a road game.
Section 2 has become the most sought-after section at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. It is right above the tunnel where players exit and enter. Only 20 fans are allowed to gather in that area, and all of them have just one aim: to get Caitlin Clark's attention.
The scene before the game is just a reflection of what Clark has done to the WNBA. The magnanimity of her fame now reflects in the market.
Caitlin Clark reaches new heights in Jersey sales
It seems like the rise of Caitlin Clark's popularity in only increasing. Earlier this year in May, Clark recorded the second-highest jersey sales in the United States among both WNBA and NBA stars.
To put the feat into perspective, she sold more jerseys than LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Victor Wembanyama and Luka Doncic. The only player who sold more jerseys than her was Warriors' superstar Stephen Curry.
Clark's star power has become undeniable, and now she is having a direct effect on the market. The WNBA players signed the first-ever contract worth millions of dollars, and the league signed a $3.2 billion media deal.
It's a phenomenon that Basketball Hall of Famer Debbie Antonelli calls "Clarkonomics."
"It's a descriptor on the disruption that our game has experienced, which has spiked all of the numbers related to our game," Antonelli told ESPN as per Ryan Hockensmith's July 31 report. "It is directly related to Caitlin's popularity."
Clark has certainly disrupted what the WNBA was all about before she arrived. Players struggled with unfair salaries and barely got any media attention. But Clark's impact has changed the entire WNBA's landscape.
