Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) reacts during the second half of an WNBA basketball game against the Seattle Storm, Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
As the Indiana Fever won a highly contested game against the Chicago Sky 114-106 on June 11, Caitlin Clark picked up her third technical foul of the season after a reaction she gave to a no-call.
It was the third quarter when Clark went on a driving layup but was denied by the Sky's Azura Stevens. After which she was heard shouting, "That's a foul," and swung her arm at the referee after it was deemed a no-call.
She was given a technical foul right after Kamilla Cardoso scored a layup to make the score 56-53. This gave Chicago the lead with 6:36 left in the third quarter.
The two-time All-Star has picked up technical fouls on two more occasions.
She picked up her first one on May 13 against the Los Angeles Sparks, when she argued with a referee about an offensive foul. The Fever won that game 87-78.
She picked up yet another foul on May 22, after her confrontation with the Golden State Valkyries' Janelle Salaün. The Fever went on to win that game as well, 90-82.
Clark's three technicals in six weeks suggest growing frustration with officiating calls.
Although Clark did pick up her third technical foul, the Fever beat Chicago after the game went into overtime. Clark was sensational, scoring 32 points, dishing out 10 assists, and having seven rebounds.
This win has put the Fever in a much more comfortable position for now.
