Caitlin Clark’s name continues to dominate conversations surrounding the WNBA at all times. But recently, a comment from analyst Robin Lundberg has sparked mixed reactions among her fans.
During a discussion about Clark’s future, Lundberg suggested that the Indiana Fever star could eventually become the greatest player in WNBA history.
“Well, I mean, Caitlin Clark can absolutely be the best player of all time. I mean, that's certainly on the table if she can stay healthy in her career long enough,” Lundberg said in an X clip, shared by Yahoo Sports.

However, he also acknowledged that there is still a long road ahead for the young guard to reach that level.
Lundberg then made another claim that immediately caught the attention of Clark supporters. “But sometimes I feel like Caitlin Clark has weirdly become underrated,” the analyst stated.
This statement by the analyst received all kinds of reactions from fans within the comment section of the Yahoo Sports post.
Caitlin Clark fans disagree over ‘underrated’ claim
Under the same X Yahoo Sports clip, some fans appeared to agree with Lundberg’s assessment of Clark’s long-term potential. Others, however, questioned the idea that the Fever guard is currently underrated.
One fan sarcastically pointed out the contradiction, writing, “Somehow the best player of all time isn't even the best player on her own team, but I digress...”
Another questioned how Clark could be underrated when she remains one of the most discussed players in women’s basketball.
“Underrated??? People literally only talk about her. What is he talking about? How many times has he mentioned other players?” the fan wrote.
Some supporters, however, believe Clark has not always received the recognition they think she deserves.
“It might be something to do with the WNBA media s****** on her nonstop since she came into the league idk,” one fan commented.
Others took Lundberg’s comments as a warning to the rest of the league.
“They just woke a monster; they better watch out! They aren’t ready for it,” another fan wrote.
A further supporter was even more confident in Clark’s status, saying, “She already is, but the W isn't ready for that reality yet. They refuse to acknowledge the reality.”
Clark still has plenty of years ahead of her to build her legacy, but the debate over her place among the all-time greats is already well underway.
