Caitlin Clark already had Swifties buzzing when she posted a first look at her Taylor Swift-inspired Nike Caitlin 1 'Friendship Bracelet' edition on Instagram this week.
Now she's confirmed the part every Taylor Swift fan actually wanted to know.
Speaking with reporters during her pregame media session ahead of the Indiana Fever's game against the Connecticut Sun, Clark revealed that Swift already has a pair of the sneakers in hand and that the pop star likes what she sees.
"Uh, Taylor likes them. Yeah," Clark told reporters when asked if Swift had received her pair of the upcoming signature sneakers, per a clip shared by James Boyd of The Athletic.

Clark gave fans their first real look at the "Friendship Bracelet" Caitlin 1 on Wednesday. She shared a photo on her Instagram Story with a caption: "Yeah, these are the ones."
The version looks softer compared to the bolder colorways Clark has worn on the court. It features an off-white and blush base with soft multicolor undertones. Clark's "CC" logo sits on the tongue in royal blue.
The laces are thick, fuzzy, and threaded with small colorful beads — a nod to the friendship bracelets that became a defining ritual of Swift's Eras Tour, where fans trade handmade beaded bracelets at every stop.
On Clark's own pair, the beads spell out "CC" on the left shoe and her jersey number, "22," on the right.
This is not the first time Clark has paid tribute to Swift through her footwear.
Before the Caitlin 1 existed, she spent her rookie and early seasons almost exclusively in Nike Kobe models, and in June she debuted a player-exclusive Kobe 6 Protro colorway called "Eras Tour," blending pink, yellow, and green across a gradient upper as a tribute to Swift's tour.
At Friday's media session, Clark revealed that her new signature Caitlin 1 colorway takes things to another level.
"I had the Kobe version, but I feel like these are even better. It’ll come with some charms that everyone can pick and kind of make your own," Clark shared.
Beyond Swift connection: A design meant to give something back to fans
Clark also explained why the friendship-bracelet idea means so much to her.
“The friendship bracelet thing has really come back in the last like four years or so, and obviously what Taylor’s done has really brought that to life,” Clark said during the same interview, per Indiana Fever on YouTube
But Clark was not just thinking about Swift when she designed it. She was also thinking about the people who support her.
She has received plenty of friendship bracelets from her own fans. It made the recent 'Friendship Bracelet' design feel like a chance to give something back.
“So I feel like this is almost something that I can kind of give back to the fans in a way. You can connect with me, like I’m making my own shoes on the court, and you can kind of take this shoe and like make it your own in your own way,” she added.
