While the Indiana Fever are quite literally struggling to deliver Caitlin Clark’s Team USA jerseys to fans and admirers, the Fever phenom stated how enormous all this support feels.
“It's crazy,” she stated, per a recent FIBA piece published on September 1, 2026. “How lucky am I? This is pretty special and pretty cool. And there are so many people that would kill to be in this spot and have this type of opportunity.”
Spotlights will follow Clark from her WNBA hardwood to Berlin’s FIBA 2026 final, her first senior international debut. Per a recent X post by Fever Team Store, her USA basketball jerseys have already sold out, signifying just how big this moment is.

Moreover, she enters Berlin as the MVP from Puerto Rico's qualifiers, raising expectations even higher. In 21.2 minutes of action, she averaged 11.6 points (ranked fourth) and 6.4 assists (ranked first) across 5 games. But this is all about living her dream, and she couldn’t be any more grateful.
“Especially to play for the USA team, let alone play in the WNBA and live out your dream every single day,” she added to the same segment by FIBA. “So (I) think about how lucky I am and how grateful I am."
However, there are those draining parts too.
Caitlin Clark hinted that the spotlight comes with a cost
Her offline and nearly 4M online followers saw the guard have a rift with Fever coach Stephanie White earlier this season, a cooling chemistry with Aliyah Boston, and some on- or off-court dramas she and the Fever got tangled up in. All of those were undeniably exhausting.
“I try to think about it in the most positive way I can,” she said, per the same FIBA post. “Sure, there are moments where it's exhausting, and it's a lot. There's a lot of attention. But that's what you sign up for, and that's what you dream of.”
The exhaustion, pressure and scrutiny didn’t stop her from averaging 22.5 PPG (third in the W), 8.4 AST (first in the W), and 3.9 REB this season.
Surely, she’ll not leave Berlin without showcasing the world some of her jaw-dropping, explosive play, starting from September 4 against China.
