Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese were visibly frustrated on the bench during the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup semifinal, where Team USA ultimately fought off a gritty Spain squad for a 76-66 win in Berlin.

A clip resurfaced from the game captured the moment beautifully when Team USA's veteran-heavy starting group fell behind early and couldn't find any rhythm against a Spanish team that came out playing with nothing to lose.

The footage captures Clark and Reese watching the game unfold with growing unease. Early in the clip, Clark takes a sip from her water bottle, her eyes never leaving the action on the floor. Reese, just beside her in a red headband with a white towel draped over her shoulders, was just as locked in.

When the messy possession ended and an official blew a whistle, Reese and Clark reacted together while standing. Both players gasped in disbelief, threw their hands up slightly, and exchanged some words.

An X user named Michal Caro shared the clip, captioning it, "Caitlin & Angel don't seem too happy with how Team USA is playing…"

While the exact moment on the game clock was not visible in the clip, the timing might be the first-quarter stretch, as Clark could be seen stretching and getting ready to check in at the video's end.

Caitlin Clark entered the game with 3:49 remaining in the first quarter when Team US was trailing 16-11. Aliyah Boston, Paige Bueckers, and Reese also checked in after that, and the young reserves bailed them out.

Reese, Bueckers, and Clark combined to score the final six American points of the frame, capping a 12-2 rally to give Team USA a 21-18 lead in the first quarter.

Spain, however, kept coming back and tied it at 58-58 before the 4th quarter, but the Americans leaned on their defense, and their veteran stars finally took the win after an 18-8 rally in the 4th quarter.

Clark, Reese, and Bueckers get limited minutes against Spain

Clark again came off the bench. She played 17 minutes and finished with only one point, going 0-for-3 from the field. She added one rebound, one assist, and one steal.

It was another quiet offensive game for Clark after she also struggled badly against Italy in the group stage.

Reese also had a quiet scoring night. She finished with five points, three rebounds, and one assist in 12 minutes.

Bueckers played 17 minutes and scored six points while adding three rebounds.

Reese and Bueckers watched the complete fourth quarter from the sidelines.

But with the semifinal win, Team USA is now one win away from a fifth straight World Cup title and 12th overall.

They will face Team France on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET in Berlin.
