Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is breaking basketball records faster than most, defying the usual timeline for such accomplishments. The league is once again taking notice of her latest scoring achievement.
"Caitlin Clark already has more career points than 84% of all guards in WNBA history. She's only played 81 games," Polymarket Hoops noted in a post on X.
The statement certainly stands true. Clark has recorded 1,589 points in 81 games, and this record is something that many guards take many seasons and a lot of games to achieve.

In addition, her average points have increased every year and have now reached 21.6 points per game this season.
The production was not a solo effort. Kelsey Mitchell, point guard for the Indiana Fever, joined in the effort and helped the team come out on top with a score of 90-86 against the Sky. Mitchell scored 27 points while Clark added 26, pushing Indiana to its 20th win of the season.
The two guards have now scored 25 or more points in the same game eight times, tying them for the second most by any duo in league history. Over their last 10 games combined, Clark and Mitchell have put up 513 points together, a new WNBA record for that stretch.
More than the individual game statistics, Clark's resume has been growing beyond scoring numbers.
Records Keep Piling Up for Caitlin Clark
Clark not only scored this many points but also averaged more than eight assists per game, which is an impressive feat that has earned her the distinction of being the fastest player in WNBA history to score 1,500 points and get 650 assists.
She also holds the record for most single-game points scored by the Fever with 45, achieved in a game against the Seattle Storm in July 2026. In this same game, she became the first player ever in league history to score 40 points and dish out 10 assists in a single game.
Clark was the fastest player ever to get to 200 career three-pointers in 74 games. Along with Kelsey Mitchell from the Fever team, Clark broke a league record with the highest points scored by a duo in a series of 10 games.
With the Fever sitting at 20-12 and back in action Tuesday against the New York Liberty, Clark's numbers keep climbing, and each game adds another entry to a resume that already reads like a career decade in the making.
