It is a year of change for Angel Reese, both on and off the court. After signing with the Atlanta Dream from the Chicago Sky during free agency, she is now also planning to switch homes.
Reese is expected to sell her $1.45 million house in Lemont, Illinois, roughly two months after moving to the Dream. According to listing details on Redfin, the property will hit the market next Monday.
The Maryland native bought the house last April for $1.28 million, according to listing details. Off the court, it is still probably her biggest accomplishment, as she retired her mother at just 22 years old.
At the time Reese bought the house, she celebrated becoming a homeowner on X, posting a photo that had green check emojis next to the phrases “retire my momma” and “become a homeowner.”
With a listing price of $1.45 million, the home itself is actually quite luxurious.
The 3,600-square-foot property at 12735 Caruso Court has five bedrooms and three bathrooms.
In addition, it has an open-concept design with a room near the chef’s kitchen, custom window treatments, updated lighting, a first-floor study, an entertainment room, a three-car garage, a lookout basement, and, to top it all off, a fully-fenced backyard.
While it all sounds quite beautiful on paper, with her move to Atlanta, it is understandable why Reese wants to move on from her property in Lemont, Illinois.
In any case, the Dream forward is having the time of her life in Atlanta. The Sky were unsuccessful in making it to the playoffs in consecutive seasons with Reese.
But it seems like we will finally see the 23-year-old in the playoffs this season, as Reese is off to a flying start with the Dream.
Angel Reese Recently Added Two Milestones with the Atlanta Dream
The Dream currently sits atop the Eastern Conference with a 6-3 overall record, and Reese has played a major part in helping the Dream become a championship contender early on in the season.
Apart from helping the team, she has also improved individually as a player and recently added two new milestones against the Connecticut Sun.
Reese scored her first three-pointer in Dream colors against the Sun, which also marked the 1,000th point she has scored in the WNBA in just her third-year.
In the early games of the season, Reese has been a key contributor to Atlanta’s strong performance, averaging 13.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals over eight games.
While the Dream's form dipped with a loss against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in the first game of the Commissioner's Cup, they will go at it again on Saturday against the Washington Mystics to turn things around in their favor.
So, do you think we will see Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA Finals this year? Let us know in the comments.
