"Angel Reese has a fanclub?": Podcaster mocks Dream star's supporters ahead of WNBA final

Podcaster Jaime Lardis is not a fan of Angel Reese’s fanbase. As the Dream star continues to shine, her popularity keeps growing, but Lardis opted to contradict that.

While Lardis has, time and again, praised Reese’s game, especially during Team USA’s recent successful FIBA run, she made it clear that she did not have much respect for her fanbase.

“Angel Reese has a fan club? Probably just the old LSU alumni, a few Maryland fans, and Atlanta’s graduating classes of 2038–2041,” Lardis wrote on X.

Lardis' X post immediately drew backlash from Reese supporters, sparking a broader debate about fanbase behavior.

However, the WNBA reporter clarified that the criticism was directed towards the fans and not the Dream forward.

Lardis also clarified she'd join the fanbase if fans were kinder, citing their aggression as a barrier.

“If her fans were nicer, maybe I would consider. You guys be too aggressive,” Lardis wrote in the comments.

Lardis has openly claimed to be a Fever fan, especially due to her liking for Caitlin Clark. As a result, fans of Reese have often critiqued her on social media.

However, Lardis has never been shy about her praise for Reese. As the Dream advanced to the WNBA Finals, the podcaster gave a “special congratulations” to the 2026 DPOY.

Reese opened up on reaching the WNBA Finals.

Reese's manifesto becomes reality

Sweeping the Liberty 3-0, the Dream reached the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2013. Reese reached her first, and she had manifested it long before.

"I manifested this. When I came to Atlanta, I knew I wanted to be here. This team has poured so much into me, we pour so much into each other," Reese said, per ESPN. "I posted and tweeted [on] 10.10.2025 that I was manifesting the finals and this is my moment."

The Dream forward indeed wrote "Manifesting the finals" in October last year. She achieved the feat in her third season in the WNBA.

Averaging 18.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.2 blocks per game for the Dream, Reese has been outstanding both on offense and defense, as she also secured the DPOY honor.
