Sports analyst Colin Cowherd recently compared WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark to NBA legend Michael Jordan. He specifically praised her laser-focused, 'all-business ' mindset and her refusal to get dragged into off-the-court controversies.
During a segment on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, the veteran host praised the Indiana Fever guard's diplomatic silence regarding ongoing league drama, including the intense public debate over the eligibility of transgender athletes.
“She is Steph Curry but with a little bit of a Michael Jordan mindset. All business, all basketball. Has no opinion or comment on the controversies," Cowherd said on Tuesday.

Cowherd pointed directly to the Fever’s recent game against the Chicago Sky to prove the point.
During Indiana's 113-90 victory, a major disturbance broke out courtside. Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom got into a heated verbal exchange with Sky guard Natasha Cloud. Security had to step in, and Kanter was escorted out of Wintrust Arena.
Yet, none of that drama caught Clark's attention.
She recorded 37 points and 10 assists while sinking a career-high eight 3-pointers. Led by Clark, the Fever set a franchise record with 18 team three-pointers and won the game by 23 points.
When asked about the incident post-game, Clark revealed that she had no idea it even happened.
"To be honest, I didn't see it," Clark said.
Cowherd highlighted that this level of focus was not just a one-time event. It represents how Clark has driven her team's entire offense all season.
“The Fever offense is not only number one in this league at 97 [points] per game, it's the best offense in league history because of Caitlin Clark,” Cowherd said, per the same video shared by The Herd with Colin Cowherd on X.
Clark is currently averaging 22.1 points, 8.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game. And she has guided Indiana to 24 regular-season wins—the highest total in franchise history.
“So with all this nonsense and drama around her, Caitlin Clark [is] number one in assists, number three in scoring, best offense in league history, greatest shooting range in league history. She's not driving the controversy like Michael Jordan. She's all business,” Cowherd added.
This isn't the first time Cowherd has compared Clark to Michael Jordan
Back in June 2025, Cowherd linked Clark to the Chicago Bulls icon, comparing how both players transformed struggling franchises and captured national attention.
"There's a lot of similarities between Michael Jordan and Caitlin Clark," Cowherd said at the time, per The Herd with Colin Cowherd on X.
Back then, Clark was still early in her Fever career. But Cowherd already saw a similar path between the two stars.
"Before Michael got to the Bulls, they were awful: 27 and 55. First year in, he improved them by 11 games; they made the playoffs. They still weren't great, but he got them into the playoffs. Pre-Caitlin Clark, Fever: awful," Cowherd said.
But both of them were recognized as top-three players in their sport within their first couple of professional seasons.
He also pointed to the commercial side and how Jordan and Clark both moved merchandise at a rate that outpaced their peers.
"Both sold a ton of merchandise. We fell in love with them and knew them.... And by the second full year of playing, are they the best player in the league? They are the MVP of the league,” Cowherd added.
