All 7 Players on the First-Ever Taurasi Edge Program, Ranked [Opinion]

Nike Basketball and Diana Taurasi have rolled out an innovation that has never been witnessed in the women’s basketball game before.

Basketball expert and scout EJayArrow shared the news via X, calling it a two-day training program that will make the best college basketball players even more competitive through one-on-one guidance from Diana Taurasi at the Nike Sport Research Lab. Let’s check how good these seven basketball talents are.

Who Stands Out the Most? All 7 Taurasi Edge Players Ranked

Jerzy Robinson: Robinson hasn't seen an NCAA floor yet, but that doesn't stop her ceiling from being difficult to deny. This five-star prospect from Sierra Canyon High School will be playing for the South Carolina Gamecocks within the incoming 2026 class.

Her selection by this kind of program before ever suiting up for a minute of college ball proves her high regard.

Syla Swords: There is no denying the fact that the sophomore guard from the Michigan Wolverines has been working hard at building up a good college career.

The sophomore managed to score an average of 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game last season and scored 40.6 percent from the field.

Bella Hines: Hines is still adjusting to college basketball, but she certainly has all of the capabilities. Hines scored 4.2 points, grabbed 2.2 rebounds, and dished out 1.1 assists per game as a freshman at LSU, where she shot 44.9 percent from the field until transferring to TCU.

For a five-star recruit, such early exposure to Taurasi’s system would be like putting the spark in her development.

Jazzy Davidson: The stats that Davidson put up as a freshman for USC were very impressive. The USC guard scored an average of 17.9 points, grabbed 5.6 rebounds, and dished out 4.1 assists per game while making 40.0 percent of her shots.

The fact that she led her team in many significant categories as a freshman definitely qualifies her as a well-rounded young player.

Aaliyah Chavez: Chavez made a bold declaration that she was one of the finest freshmen around the nation in her freshman year at Oklahoma.

Named the ESPN National Freshman of the Year, Chavez put up impressive averages of 18.4 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game, in addition to a 92.9% free throw percentage.

Madison Booker: The 2025-26 season of Booker in Texas became one to catch the attention of everyone in the whole sports community. The three-time All-American recorded an average of 18.9 points per game, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, along with shooting 50.8%.

The 40 points recorded during the NCAA Tournament against Oregon on March 22, 2026, became her career high point.

JuJu Watkins: But Watkins is the one leading all in the rankings and by quite a good distance. The guard for USC was compelled to sit out a whole season because of an ACL injury that made her join the freshmen class as a redshirt.

The stats for the 2024-25 season are telling when it comes to volume, averaging at 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.

The Taurasi Edge program has indeed created a benchmark of excellence when it comes to developing players for women’s basketball, and here are the names you should look out for from this talented group.
