Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson is one of the most respected players in the WNBA, so her vote of confidence over the ongoing development of the replay center holds a lot of value.
As we all know, there has been a lot of scrutiny over the league's officiating since last season, with controversies occurring almost every week.
As a result, the replay center becomes a welcome addition for players wanting better calls. This is no different for Wilson, who has demanded more replays and camera angles for the calls to be as accurate as possible.
“We need more replays. I think we have a great job. We just need better camera angles…I would love to have better chances to look at more plays in the replay center,” Wilson said after the WNBA All-Star Game.

The replay center was announced just before the All-Star Game by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, in an effort to improve officiating, competitive integrity, and the overall game experience.
As for Engelbert, her future as commissioner is not set in stone yet, and it looks like she is more out than in.
This comes after she was directly asked if she thought she would still be the commissioner in 2027, when the replay center is scheduled to open. However, she did not answer yes or no, instead focusing on the league's growth.
Regardless, Wilson will certainly be present, and why wouldn't she be? The almost 30-year-old is having one of the best seasons of her career, and that is saying something considering her past performances.
A'ja Wilson Shows No Signs of Stopping
While the improvement in officiating will certainly be of great help to Wilson and her peers, it is not like she needed any outside factors to perform on the court.
Midway through her ninth season, Wilson has already made a case to be the league's MVP for the fifth time.
She is averaging 26.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and 1.6 steals per game throughout 24 contests. She is shooting 53.3% from the field, including 44.6% from beyond the arc, and 84.1% from the free-throw line.
The Aces' record now stands at 18-8, comfortably holding the third spot in the Western Conference standings behind the Golden State Valkyries and the Minnesota Lynx.
Following the All-Star weekend, Wilson and the Aces will be back in action against the Portland Fire at home, as another record-breaking season from Wilson is upon us.
So, do you think A'ja Wilson will lead the Aces to the WNBA Finals once again as the league MVP? Let us know in the comments.
